Production Operatives

Full Time, Permanent:- 36 hours per week


SA Brain & Co Ltd, a renowned brewery based in Cardiff, Wales, is currently seeking Production Operatives to join their packaging production team at the Dragon Brewery. This full-time, permanent position requires 36 hours of work per week, with shifts alternating between standard day shifts and 12-hour day shifts.

 

Shift Details:

  • Standard Day Shift: Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Friday from 6:00 am to 12:30 pm.
  • 12-Hour Day Shift: Tuesday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Salary: £27,095 per annum (£14.90 per hour).

Job Description:

We are recruiting Production Operatives to work in the packaging production team at Dragon Brewery. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are able to work both independently and as part of a team, able to handle a high volume of routine tasks with excellent attention to detail and with sound communication skills.

The Production Operative will be responsible for:

  • Packaging beer into casks and kegs.
  • Preparing production lines and performing post-production cleaning (CIP).
  • Conducting routine quality checks.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

All tasks must adhere to operating procedures, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Previous experience in food or drink production/manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Maths and English at GCSE level or higher.
  • A Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is desirable but not essential; successful applicants will receive training to operate forklifts as part of the role.
